This simple and hearty dish combines tagliatelle pasta with a rich, savoury bean sauce. A perfect vegetarian meal, it's full of flavour and easy to make with just a few ingredients. Serve it as a quick dinner or a light lunch.

Ingredients

  • 200g tagliatelle pasta
  • 1 can (400g) cooked beans (such as black beans or cannellini beans), drained and rinsed
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Preparation

  • Cook the tagliatelle in a large pot of salted water according to package instructions, then drain.
  • In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  • Add the beans to the pan and mash them slightly with a fork, adding a splash of water if needed to create a smooth sauce. Season with oregano, salt, and pepper.
  • Toss the cooked tagliatelle into the bean sauce and stir until well coated.
  • Serve hot, garnished with extra herbs if desired.
